Is it scary?
Nope. Hollow Hill is spooky-silly, never scary. No threats, no jump scares, nobody "coming to get you." The ghost is shy, the witch is a grandma, the vampire is sleepy, and the swamp monster sat on a pumpkin once. If your kid is sensitive, Wendell is the gentlest.
How does the live call work?
After checkout you land on your call page (we email you the link too). A grown-up ticks "a grown-up is here," taps Call, and allows the microphone. The character picks up already knowing your kid's name, costume, and the great thing they did, then chats, answers questions, and plays silly games for the time you chose. At the end, they say goodbye and hang up on their own. It works on phones and computers, in English or Spanish.
Is it a real person?
No. Each character is voiced by AI technology we designed to be kind, silly, and safe for young kids. They follow strict rules: never scary, never ask for personal information, never keep secrets, and never promise gifts. If a child ever mentions something worrying, the character gently tells them to talk to their grown-up.
How fast do I get it?
Instantly. Your call is ready the moment you pay, and the link is emailed to you so you can call later. Last orders Oct 31.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Tick "This is a gift" on the order form and add the parent's email. The call link goes to both of you, and the email says who it's from. Please make sure the parent is OK with it first.
Is there a Spanish version?
Yes: hollowhillhotline.com/es. Every character also speaks Spanish on the call, and you can pick the language on the call page.
What if they say my kid's name wrong?
Use the "how to say it" box for tricky names (like "shi-VAWN" for Siobhan). If it's still not right, email us and we'll make it right.
What if the call drops, or my kid isn't ready?
Every order includes a second try. Just tap Call again from the same page.
What do you do with my information?
We only ask for first names, and we only use them for your call. Voices are processed live and never recorded. Order details are deleted by November 15. We never sell or share anything. See our privacy policy.
Can grandparents, aunts, uncles, and teachers order?
Absolutely, with the parent's OK. Use the gift option so the parent gets the link, or be there for the call yourself.
Refunds?
If something goes wrong with your call, email us and we'll fix it or refund you. Terms.
